The snow kept coming! Look at it piled on both sides of my driveway (above). In between the snowbanks on the driveway, I looked longingly at my convertible (right). |

Even Indy was buried in the white stuff (left), although in my opinion, the speedway looks better with cars on it. Although I was less than thrilled with all this snow, God's Word has something else to say about it:
"Come now, let us reason together," says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow;" (Isaiah 1:18a) Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. (Psalms 51:7) |

The snow reminded us how clean God has washed us of our sins through the Christ's work, and He must think we need lots of reminder because look how much was dumped on us! And look how clean! There's a good reason the Scripture compares our cleanliness to snow because it's about the whitest thing in God's creation (right). |

Father God,
We praise and thank you for the blessings you've poured upon our beloved homeland, yet we also grieve that our society appears destined on a path to destruction. We have nothing to fear because our hope rests in you. Your infallible Word tells us you'll restore a nation that returns to you, and it will only happen as your Holy Spirit moves across this land and convicts our people to repentance. Raise up your legion of witnesses, including ourselves, to boldly proclaim your mighty works and your Gospel so that many will be saved.
We come before your throne in the name of your Son and our Savior, Jesus the Christ, who has already won the victory.
Lord God,
You created dogs, and You made them always hungry. Almost never does a dog not want to eat. Make us like dogs, always hungry for the life-giving nourishment of Your Word.
Lord God Almighty,
We're Your ambassadors from the Kingdom of Heaven to a dying world. Holy Spirit of the Living God, prepare us for the work You have for us to do. The fields are ripe for the harvest. Lead us to those who are ready to accept the Gospel and give us Your words to speak.
We claim this place as an embassy of the Kingdom of Heaven. Just as the embassies of this world are considered to be sovereign soil of their nations in foreign lands, we declare this place to be Kingdom ground. The dark prince of this world has no right to enter these premises. Lord God, Commander of the Host of Heaven, post Your guardian battalion of angels, Your spiritual marines, to protect this Your embassy, so that many of the lost refugees from this world may come here and find asylum in the safety of Your embrace on the sovereign soil of Your Kingdom.
Jesus, Lord and Christ,
Thank You for this place. It's a down payment for the room You have gone ahead to prepare in Your Father's mansion.
Thank You for family. They're a down payment for an eternal heavenly family with God the Father and You as Brother.
This place is consecrated in Your name, Jesus, Lord and Christ, where You are Master. This is Kingdom ground. Satan has no place here. Send angels to protect this place from the wiles of the evil one.
As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15b
God, You've poured Your blessings on me without measure. I've never been in want. You've always watched over me. You've protected me and guided my ways. When I needed somebody to help me see Your truth, You sent that person.
I bask in the joy of family, wife and daughters, and enjoy the fellowship in Your family of believers. My relationships are important to me. Continue to bless me. You've shown me many things and have given me promise for the future.
You've sealed Your claim on me, Jesus, Lord and Christ, with Your blood. Holy Spirit of the Living God, You're renewing me from within, and transforming my whole way of thinking. Father, You're pleased, and You've declared that I'm Yours and that You'll never let me go.
